Are You Very Happy?

You appear not to be Very Happy.

There's nothing wrong with being serious. There's nothing wrong with being temporarily blue. On the other hand, there is something wrong with being depressed.

If you are seriously sad, it's not your fault.

Some people are just serious people, not "high happy" personalities. And that's just fine.

If, on the other hand, you are depressed -- well, it's time to get help. In the midst of darkness, thoughts can turn inward. Thinking becomes cloudy. Feelings of helplessness dominate the mind.

If you feel you're slipping into an endless hole, understand one thing: it's not permanent. There's a way out. Professional help is required. Counselling or drug therapy will turn the tide.

Seek an outer force. You cannot do it alone. Contact friends or family or a trusted mentor.

Do not stay silent, and do not wait.
