In 1998 I got my first computer and of course hit the chat rooms. I made dozens of new friends and met several of them in person. One friend in particular was very special. I could tell him my thoughts, feelings needs, and always have a shoulder to cry on. He and I would talk for hours online and then talk more on the phone. We became best friends. Over the months/years our friendship turned into love, even though we had never met face to face. I trusted him with my soul and my heart. I couldn't stand to go one day without hearing his voice or seeing his name pop up on my yahoo messenger. We finally set the date to meet for the beginning of May 2001. I loaded up my 2 kids in the car and we met him at a steak house in the town over. I was excited, anxious, nervous as hell and felt more alive than I had in many years. As soon as I saw him pull in the parking lot I knew I had fallen in love with him all over again. Everything was perfect! How could things get better than this??? Well, they did get better...He proposed 1/2 way through our dinner and of course I said YES! Imagine that! First time we ever laid eyes on each other and he proposes! We set our date to be married as Sept 11, 2001...and even with the tragedy of the day, we kept that date to remind us that there is still good in the world amidst all the chaos. He has since adopted my children and has made the perfect Dad to them. I have got to be the luckiest woman in the world to have such a wonderful, attentive, sensitive man for a husband......and we live happily ever after!

I met this guy at a coffeehouse after he got done playing with his band. We started to talk and got each other's screen names. It's been about 9 months, and we still talk online all the time. The only thing is, he lives about an hour away. Which really is not that far but I'm a senior in high school and my parents don't approve of me driving to another state to see a boy. Me and my guy tell each other everything. I feel so close to him even though I haven't seen him since that night. It probably seems a little crazy, but I think I love him. We are planning to see each other a lot this summer and when I go to college I'm going to visit him on the weekends. I can't wait to be with him! Hopefully everything works out...

He later got married and moved to Texas and about two years later moved back to Indiana. Got a job as an EMT. He eventualy quit there but the weird thing is shortly after he quit I got a job there dispatching. He was haveing a bad day going through a divorce and decided to come in to his old work (where I worked then) to talk to some old friends and my name got mentioned and he got my number and we have been together since then and are about to have a baby together after 9 years of waiting on each other to find the other and now we are happier then we could ever dream of being.

ME AND MY BOYFRIEND FIRST MET IN THE 7th GRADE. IT WAS THROUGH ONE OF MY CLOSEST FRIENDS WE MET. I DIDN'T GO TO THE SAME SCHOOL AS HE DID BUT WE STILL KEPT IN TOUCH. A YEAR PASSED AND HE WAS STILL GOING OUT WITH THIS GIRL. I WASN'T THE TYPE TO TAKE ANYBODYS MAN SO I LEFT HIM ALONE. THE YEAR WENT BY UNTIL ANOTHER FRIEND OF MINE CAME AND TOLD ME THAT THE SAME BOY FROM LAST YEAR WANTED TO GO WITH ME. I WAS SURPRISED. WE STARTED TALKING BUT IT WASN'T NOTHING SERIOUS, HE STILL HAD A GIRLFRIEND. HE SAID THAT IT WASN'T WORKING OUT BETWEEN THEM AND HE REALLY LIKED WHAT PEOPLE AT HIS SCHOOL SAID ABOUT ME. I ACCEPTED THIS AND WE JUST TALKED AS FRIENDS. FINALLY HE BROKE UP WITH THE OTHER GIRL, BUT WE STILL DIDN'T GO OUT. THE SUMMER CAME AND ALL I DID WAS THINK ABOUT HIM. I TRIED AND TRIED TO GET IN TOUCH WITH HIM BUT IT WAS NO USE. DURING JUNE OF 2002 HE CALLED ME AND WE STARTED TALKING, BUT GUESS WHAT HE HAD ANOTHER GIRLFRIEND. WE STAYED FRIENDS AND I GOT A BOYFRIEND. I DIDN'T KNOW UNTIL I GOT A BOYFRIEND HOW SPECIAL MAJESTY WAS TO ME. I KNEW HE WAS THE ONE FOR ME. SO JUNE PASSED AND JULY CAME. ON THE NIGHT OF JULY 12,2002 AT 11:00 pm. MAJESTY BECAME MY BOYFRIEND. EVER SINCE THEN HE HAS BEEN MY TRUE LOVE. WE WERE TRULY MEANT TO BE.

I had seen him for weeks and just admired him from a distance. I figured he didn't want me. All the girls were crazy about him. Why would he want me? Even though a lot of boys liked me too. But I didn't see myself as being pretty as a lot of people thought I was. So I didn't really think I had a chance. I had seen him at the Skating Ring, where all the young kids hung out at the time. Twice I had seen him with two different girls. So I thought he was taken. ...I decided to tell his sister, who I knew a little to either hook me or my best friend up with him. They asked him who he wanted to get hooked up with and he chose me. So they introduced me to him and we began talking. That night we had exchanged phone numbers and we had our first kiss. It was like it was meant to be because I felt like I knew him forever.

i met this guy in 6th grade (he was in 5th) in the gifted program. we were pretty close but during high school we became best friends. he was always the one that i turned to. he recently joined the military and i hadnt seen him in almost 2 yrs. he was recently on leave and called me to hang out. so we're sitting in the middle of this club and he starts confessing his feelings. and even though at the moment he is over 2000 miles away, its all gonna be good cause i would give up everything for him. he has always been there for me and even told some friends of mine that he wanted to take care of me and protect me.

I didn't actually meet Nick until my Junior year, but in eleventh grade I would watch him during lunch and sketch pictures of him. I knew he was doing drugs at that time, and he hung out with a rough crowd, so I never bothered to talk to him. The next year he was talking to one of my guy friends, and he saw an old spiral I was holding that had a sketch of him on it. About three months later he had stopped hanging with his old friends and it was obvious he was clean. He had changed for me, and asked me out. Months later he gave me a sketch he had drawn of me, all squiggly from lack of skill, and took one of my sketches of him, taping them together and telling me that one day he would glue them together, symbolizing a bond more permanent and enduring than the one we shared at the moment. A week later, I was engaged, and the sketches are safely glued together.

We had never met each other before. I was at a football game as I play in the band (bass drum). He had gotten bored that night and decided to come to watch a few of his friends perform, which they were also my friends. When it was time to load our drums on the trailer I walked off the field and some one hollared "Hey he thinks you're hot." I smiled and walked over... it was "him" he was talking about one of my ex's who's just a good friend now. My ex soon left us alone and we continued to talk. I left him my phone number and he called me the next day. He continued to come to the home games after that and after about the third one we hooked up.

I met Shawn at church when I ws 12 years old. He was my first kiss and "real" boyfriend, if you could call it that at 12. We saw each other at church and school functions only. He is older than me so we drifted apart as he went to college and to the army. Over the past 14 years I had dreams about him that were breath taking. We lived in the same small town but never bumped into each other. Then one day I needed a plumber to do some work at the restaurant that I was General manager for. I called a company that we had used for about a year, and they sent Shawn out to work on the problem. We had not seen each other for 14 years mind you, but we hit it off again instantly. We moved in together two weeks later and we have now been back together for a year and a half. We are planning our wedding now!!!!!! It is as if we knew that we were meant to be together all this time, but we had to grow up apart first so that we could really enjoy our relationship together now!!

I met my guy on the fourth of July. I was at Lake Lanier. Which is a water park. And I was in a fun-house. I was running from my friend who was spraying me with a hose. Then when I was walking a bunch of water was poured on my head. I looked up and saw this guy who had the cutest smile and beautiful blue eyes. Blue being my favorite color I was instantly smitten. I started blushing. Then I started flirting with him, and he was flirting back so then I left the fun-house hoping he would follow me out, and he did. So then he tapped me on my shoulder and asked me what my name was. So we started talking and we were walking down the beach together like we’d known each other for years. Then after he got my number he left. That’s when I realized I didn’t know his name! I was so mad, but I guess it was my lucky day because later on towards the end of the day I was walking to the pizza hut and he came up and tapped me on my shoulder again, and he smiled at me when I turned around. My heart was pounding, and then he was like my name's Steve. So we spent the rest of the day together and ended the night by watching fireworks together. It was like a fairy tale and it still is every time I’m with him.

I met my boyfriend at his 21st party which was being held at the coolest bar and restaurant in my town. He didn't even know me, but he let me into his party even though I wasn't on the guest list. One of the waitresses that knew him managed to get me upstairs and the only thing I "had" to do was give him a hug and wish him happy birthday. When we met it was weird because he was so sweet to me and he didn't even know me. I thought he was absolutely gorgeous and I didn't even want to talk to any other guy there. We chatted every now and again and it felt that I'd known him for ages. I seemed to lose track of him by the end of the night but when I got home, I couldn't stop thinking about him.

A couple of nights later when I went to work, I got a few text messages on my phone from an unknown number. A guy at my work asked me if I had recieved any text messages lately and I knew something was up. I quizzed him about it until he finally cracked and told me that he'd given my number to a guy who wanted to get to know me. I was so happy when I found out they were from Richard because the text messages were so sweet that I couldn't imagine them being from any other guy. A couple of weeks after his party, we made it offical and started going out. Tomorrow is our anniversary for two months and I am the happiest I have been in a long time. Richard is such a great guy, and I can totally see myself falling in love with him. Now I know why people say the best things in life really are free.....

My friend Tommy was having a party the night that I saw Adam. It was dark outside but I could hear his voice and it sounded really sweet. So that night I never got to meet Adam, but the next night my best friend and I went to another party. We both walked in and to my surprise there was Adam. The funny thing is that he could not remember my name but could remember my best friends. That made me upset. But I sat down next to Adam. He was a little drunk but that was ok. We started talking and he just leaned over and kissed me on the lips. WOW the best kiss ever. From that day on we are never apart at all. Even though he is a little older than me.(only 2 years) he understands that I am still in school and when I finish school we are going to move in together. I can't wait we are the cutest couple in the entire world and I LOVE HIM with all my heart and soul. -- E.C.

I met my guy through a "Gifted" program for smart kids in elementary school. He was a grade below me, but I knew him & we were friends. In high school, we were both in chorus & became even closer, until he was my best friend. At the beginning of my senior year we both liked each other, but felt like it would jeopardize our friendship to pursue a relationship. We stayed good friends, and were each other's rock throughout that year & throughout our own individual relationships until, in the spring we just couldn't deny our feelings for each other anymore. We started dating, and have a wonderful, healthy, & happy relationship.

My best friend talked to his best friend online. One day his friend told me i should talk to him. So i sent him a message. We totally hit it off. The next day we met in person (he only lived 15 min from me) so from then on we were inseperable....he's like my dream guy. The one I've been waiting for forever....

Well, I actually met the love of my life while I was on another date. I had known this guy Steve for a while and we decided to head down to a local bar to just hang out. I was completely miserable the whole time. He was so drunk and obnoxious. He had got up to go to the bathroom and that is when JAY came over. He asked why I looked so miserable with my boyfriend, and I told him it was only our first date. We talked for a while and then Steve came back. Well, anyway I ran into Jay that next week, found out he had just broke up with his four year girlfriend. We have been inseparable ever since. I could tell from the moment our eyes met, he was the one. To make a long story short, we are engaged to be married, and I couldn't be happier.

I was working at a large retail store on 3rd shift. The guy I was dating at the time worked with me. He was very good friends with the guy that worked on 1st shift in the same department, so naturally I became friends with him too. He would always stop by my dept. to say hi every morning when he came to work. He eventually quit and moved about 3 hrs. away. One night about a month later, while I was working, he came in to visit. I gave him my email addr. as he was leaving. By the time I got home the next morning, I had an email from him telling me that he wanted to see me before he left. We hung out for about 2 hrs. that afternoon and when he kissed me I realized that I was completely head over heels for the guy that I thought of as "just a friend". That was about a month ago, and I just returned from spending the weekend in the town where he now lives. I never thought I' d fall for someone so completely different from me. (I'm the rock chick and he's definitely not) but fate apparently had different plans for me...he means more to me than he'll ever know.

I met my boyfriend in the second grade. I had a huge crush on him and I would chase him around telling him I was gonna kiss him. Well time went on and I got over him...for a little while. Over the years fate threw us together time and time again. In the seventh grade we were assigned to be dancing partners in our music class, and we had the same art and FACS class as well. In the eighth grade my grandmother moved so I then rode his bus home everyday. We shared many of the same friends, and we also had the same math and composition class that year. In our composition class the teacher always put us together for projects and we inevitably became friends...with little crushes. Unfortunely we were both too shy to admit the crush to the other. Well two of our close friends saw the chemistry and started scheming to get us together. At our Spring dance they got us talking in the back. I finally worked up the courage to ask him to dance and he finally worked up the courage to ask me out. Well ever since that night we have been inseperable. I think I have finally found my Mister Right, and noboby can tell ME fate doesn't exist!
