I met my boyfriend my sophomore year in high school. It turns out he is my older brother's best friend. We had a birthday party for my brother and his girlfriend at our house, and James was there. The guys got crazy, and decided to have a water balloon fight, from the roof. So, naturally, I got nailed on my way out the front door to look for my brother. And it so happened that James was the one that hit me. A few months later, he stayed over at our house, and he and my brother were up on the roof looking at the stars and talking, and I decided to join them. It was love at first sight. We dated off and on through high school, then had a bad break up, and didn't talk for over five years. I moved away for a year, but couldn't stop comparing every guy I met to James. No one could ever beat what I'd had with James. Well, after I moved back, my brother invited me over to hang out with them and his new girlfriend. I was 7 months pregnant. The father is not around. But in spite of all that I put him through in high school, he was able to look past all that, and gave me another chance. We have been back together for almost two years straight, and never fight about anything. He accepts my daughter as his own, and she adores him. We are currently looking for a house, and looking to get married soon.
I came to know Andrew thru my best friend, Jennifer. She had a very big crush on him, and I thought that he was a jerk b/c he wouldn't even give her a chance. Well... all that had passed, Jennifer fell in love w/ someone else, and Andrew and I had become close friends. And thru Jennifer's pushing, and Andrew's helping me thru a bad break-up, we somehow came together. Now, we have been together for only a month and a half, but I have a feeling that it is going to last much longer.
I was working at Wendy's and he came in one day and I was working at the front counter. I told him I am usually at the drive in window. We started to talk a bit. After that he came in every day! About 3 weeks later he came to the drive in at Wendy's and he started singing "You Drive Me Crazy" by Brittany Spears. Everybody heard him singing. After that we started going out a lot. As a matter of fact we are going to see "The Panic Room" tonight.
Jon and I met at work. We sat next to each other everyday for 3 months. After our line closed down at the factory we worked at. We were moved to different places on different shifts. I had been dating this guy who got me pregnant and then left. I was under a lot of stress and lost my baby at about 6 months along. I ran into Jonathan not long after that, and he really helped get through my loss. We have been together for 3 1/2 years now and have a 2 year old daughter of our own. He truly is the love of my life and I treasure every moment with him and our daughter - DK
It all started in homeroom, I was talking to my best bud. Then this guy
walks in and sits next to us. It turns out that my best bud knows him and had
a crush on him the year before. He knew about the crush and had told her he
just wanted to be friends. Well, as the year went on, the guy and I became
closer and closer as friends. We started to call each other and flirt like
you wouldn't believe. Rumors went around school that we were going out and
that we were madly in love. When we heard the stories, we laughed, but I
secretly felt the way the rumors claimed I did. Although I'm still waiting for the right time to confess, I am very
happy with my life. So,everyone, pray for me!
It was a hot night in Glasgow Scotland May 23rd 1996.
I was at the Barrowlands concert venue to see Marliyn Manson. It was my first
experience of the band and i was excited to say the least.
So the music was loud and intoxicating and the band was giving it everything. When the song ANGEL WITH THE SCABBED WINGS began there was a huge
surge sideways. I went flying right into this beautiful guy, with a great smile...I was lost and embarassed, he
said are you ok I said yes and hurried away.
But i thought there's something about him a definite something...the concert went on and I kept looking his way but he didn't seem
interested. Ah well at least I tried. Trailing outside I saw him standing with
a group of guys...I went over to him and apologised for crashing into
him and put my foot right in...later we exchanged
numbers and we have been together over 5 years and I love him to bits. So
thankyou fate. -- A.M., SCOTLAND.
I (Sara) met my husband (Shane) of 13 years when I was walking down his street and he and some of his friends started throwing eggs at me from his rooftop. I was so mad I knocked on his door and told his mother what he had done. She then grounded him and made him apologize to me in front of all his friends.
After that incident every time we passed each other in the hallways of our high school building he would call me eggie and I would say that I was going to tell his mother on him. When we were juniors, one year after it happened, he brought me an egg and asked me out -- that's when I knew it was love and it still is even after all this time.
My boyfriend and I met 2 1/2 years ago when I started a new job for the company he was working for at the time. I seemed to fit in with everyone there EXCEPT him. I couldn't get him to talk to me or joke with me as I did with all my other coworkers. That made me determined to MAKE him like me. I began paying extra attention to him and finally we became friends.
We went out together in groups for about a year. We were best friends by this time. All my girlfriends kept asking why he and I didn't hook up and I told them that I just didn't see him that way. He was more like a brother to me. All that changed one night when I went to watch him play a league basketball game. A player undercut him and he went down on his arm and dislocated his shoulder. At the time, we didn't know what exactly was wrong. All we knew is that he was in a lot of pain. I rushed to the ER with him. I remember wondering to myself why his being hurt bothered me so much. I stayed with him at the ER until they sent him home. I went home and did a lot of soul searching and realized that I had been in love with him for a long time. Turns out the feelings were mutual and we have been together for 1 1/2 years now and truly are happy!!!! -- MC
...I met up with Cody at a bar...and he acted kind of shy and just by luck we were both there to see the same person, Luke. Luke was a good friend of both me and Cody. Luke realized the connection between Cody and I and tried hooking us up all night. Cody was being very shy and wouldn't ask me to dance so finally I got up the courage. I walked right up to Cody, where he was standing with some friends...and took him out on to the dance floor. The dance was so magical and afterwards he couldn't stop asking me to dance. We danced the rest of the night and have been together ever since. So, don't always wait for the guy to make the move because sometimes they just need a little push.
We met at a basketball game. He was going in for a
layup and saw me standing with my teammates. He missed the basket and didn't
even care. We got together after his game. It turns out we have a lot in
common. He and I are very competitive. After his game, we went to my house
and played basketball one-on-one. I won 37-32. He didn't care though. Things are looking
pretty good for him and me.
Well me and Arturo...met at a beach. When I first saw him, I just thought he was so cuteeee! ...Throughout the whole day, we all just started hanging out and having fun, I could notice him flirting and kind of trying to be close to me! ...He asked me if I wanted to go for a walk with him and talk, so that’s what we did while we watched the sun set. The scenery was so beautiful and perfect...I couldn‘t have asked for a better person to spend that moment with! So we exchanged numbers and that very night I called him. ...He can make me laugh and that‘s what I love about a guy (a sense of humor). We just enjoy each other’s company and it just feels like we’ve become best friends. I can talk to him about anything and feel so comfortable about it, too. I LOVE YOU ARTURO!!!
Hey I met the man of my dreams in the library of college, and he wasn't even a student! Luck would have it that I was all decked out for a change and when I walked into the library to study I had to walk past several tall book cases to get to the seats at the end. Just as I passed the last one I saw the most handsome man ever at the first table. I looked at him and was sunk!!! As fate would have it he felt the same thing! Love at first sight is true and if you don't believe me just ask my husband of 12 years!! -- Lovingly Jenifer R
I was staying at a friend's for a couple of days. She lived in an apartment. A few weeks before I came to stay with her there was a couple that had moved in next door. One night while I was there she ran out of flour and asked me to run next door to borrow some. While I was over there I had found out that the couple was no more...it was just him and a guy roommate. They invited me back to have a few drinks later so I went back. I had seen him before and I thought he was very cute. I'm from NC which is where I met him. Now it is 3 years later and we are living in Mass which is were he is from and doing great. We are planning to get married in the Fall and he is helping me raise my daughter.
The point is you don't have to go to the bars and you don't need to look for someone. There is someone out there for everyone and you never know where you might find them. -- Derritta
A girlfriend and I went to the liquor store. She saw two guys that she knew.
They were going in, we were going out. She asked if it would be ok for them
to join us at my place. I said yes. At first I thought I might have a chance
with the big guy, Vance. But as the evening went on I realized that was her
interest and I let it go, still not seeing that the smaller guy (Tom) had any
interest in me. The next day Vance and Tom came over. My Volkswagon Beetle
was having difficulties. Tom dug in and made that car run like I had never
seen it run before. I was impressed. After that I noticed that if I was going
somewhere, he wanted to go. Kinda like a puppy dog. Sweet :). We got married
2 yrs later, had two daughters and made it almost 18 years.
