You are exploring the wild jungle wilderness, when suddenly you step into a thick pool of quicksand! You... slowly swim out of the quicksand cry for help struggle desparately for freedom There's nobody around to hear you. You gulp, then sink deep. Deep, deep, deep, deep, DEEP. Your struggling just causes you to sink DEEPER. ...Deeper, deeper, deeper, DEEPER. Your smooth, even strokes glide you to the edge of the muck, and you carefully lift yourself out. (Lucky thing you once read in your Survival Manual: to escape from quicksand, the best strategy is to swim!) Partially encrusted in the black stuff, you resume your path to the treasure that you know is buried in the Northern tip of the tundra. You pull out your muddy map and try to read the scrawls you've previously written. Darkness has fallen. You search for the brightest star. You... direct your path away from it head forward in that direction Travelling North to your destination, you find a small partial clearing to stake out for the night. As you brush the hard dirt from your clothing, you feel a numbing cold-chill blowing in from the East. Protection from the killing cold is vital! You... head inside a dark moist cave to your left slowly rub two sticks together You stumble in the wrong direction, South, for about seventy yards. Your LAST step is right off the edge of a precipice! A nice fire gets started to keep you warm. You doze peacefully during the night. The next day, as you shake the sleepiness from your head, you suddenly hear a bloodcurdling screech. Crouching towards you in the morning's red glare is a ferocious Bengal tiger! You... purr softly, whispering to the beast: "Here, Kittie Kittie" grab a branch from last night's fire instantly skeedaddle The Bengal tiger slouches uncertainly towards you, seemingly puzzled by your strange behavior...then it lunges upon you with an iron grip of DEATH!! Five hundred pounds of cat-meat stampede you to the ground! "Ahhh," you sigh, "the cold wind is blocked outside from me, inside this cozy place." Then you see the large grizzly's eyes staring boldly at you in the darkness. You wave the burning stick at the animal, and it slowly backs away. Soon the creature tires of this game and moves off into the tundra. You... head off in the same direction as before climb a tall tree several feet away Stuck at ground-level, your visibility is limited. You believe it's the right direction, but cannot see the safest path for your journey. ...Which is unfortunate. As you reach half-way towards your destination, a large crocodile slithers out from a bush behind you and bites you in the posterior! (It doesn't tickle.) High up in the tree you're now able to see a vast distance in every direction. You can detect a safe, empty stretch of land gradually leading to the North. Weary but happy, you realize at last you are destined to find your treasure!! Quiz Stop Home |
